Game Day Caviar

Okay, I know typically this kind of thing is called Cowboy Caviar, but I wanted to call it GAME DAY CAVIAR because it's the perfect appetizer for watching whatever game you like to watch! It's so easy, tasty, versatile, and filled with good-for-you ingredients!

Here's what you need:

Black beans





Taco seasoning

Lime juice (optional)

And here's ALL you gotta do:

Open up your can of beans. Open up your can of corn. Cut up your tomato, avocado and cilantro. Put ALL the ingredients in a bowl. Stir. Eat with chips. Or put on top of nachos. Or put on top of a salad. And ENJOY!



  • 1 16 oz can black beans

  • 1 15 oz can corn kernels

  • 1 tomato or 2 Roma tomatoes, cut into little chunks

  • 1 avocado, cut into little chunks

  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped

  • 1/2 packet taco seasoning (I like to use Trader Joe's taco seasoning because it's just pure spices, no fillers)

  • Lime juice (optional)


1. Open up your cans of black beans and corn and dump into a mixing bowl

2. Toss in your tomato and avocado and give it all a stir.

3. Sprinkle in your cilantro and taco seasoning. Squeeze on a bit of fresh lime juice if you want.

4. Serve as a dip with your favorite chips (I love the quinoa black bean chips from Trader Joe's!) and enjoy! I also love mixing this with greens for a salad, or putting it on top of baked sweet potato rounds with cheese as "sweet potato nachos." It's up to you!! Bon appetit and happy game day!
